I’ve spent two decades in GTM across sales, marketing, partnerships, and customer success, including at Shopify.
I’ve helped teams scale, fixed broken funnels, and seen most versions of “playbooks.”
And yet, 2 big constraints are consistent: Time and Alignment.
Every prospect required thoughtful research. Every discovery call surfaced nuance. Every proposal needed to feel tailored. As a small team, the work is on me, and I can't scale myself :)
I started building AI agents not just as a way to increase productivity but more importantly to preserve context and alignment across the GTM flow.
To reduce friction between steps that should already be connected: research, discovery, proposals, and nurture.
I focused on three things:
First, capturing the right context before a call so conversations start informed, not cold (contact level data, lead scoring, multi-stakeholder contact data pull, strategic priorities, etc)
Second, ensuring insights from discovery flowed cleanly into proposals without being re-created from scratch.
Third, making sure “not now” prospects didn’t disappear into a black hole.
At the end, the efficiency gain was expected, but the most unexpected value from building AI agents is that it forced me to clarify my own thinking.
Assumptions I’d relied on for years had to be made explicit.
The system only worked when my judgment (orchestration) was clear.
I'm iterating and changing the framework and AI skills consistently based on live learnings of calls and email responses.
Growth at The Other Group now feels limited by creative imagination rather than bandwidth.
